Our sweet puppy is 4 today! He was almost named Patty for St. Patrick's day, but I have an Aunt named Patti and Forrest's mom is Pattie. So you can see why we changed our minds. Duke is from England, so we needed a proper name and that is how we landed on the name Duke. Davis prefers to call him by his nick-name, Dukie!
When Duke was 10 weeks old, I flew to England and stayed with my parents. We drove a little north of York and picked up Duke. He was the last puppy there and it was love at first sight!
Because Duke hadn't had all his vaccinations yet, I had to carry him in this backpack when going to the public parks.
