Buble

Forrest and I danced to "Everything" by Michael Buble at our wedding. At the time of our wedding, he happened to be touring near by and I had hoped he would make an appearance for our first dance as husband and wife, but sadly I think he was entertaining a crowd in Houston. Fast forward three years and he's back in Texas! My parents bought tickets months ago. They had asked us if we wanted tickets too, but with Forrest's work schedule and pending Rockport plans we said no thanks. As we got closer to the concert date, we realized we were available that weekend and decided to look for tickets. What a deal! We found two for $150, super close on craigslist. I was a little nervous meeting the lady selling the tickets, you just never know if it's the real deal. Luckily, it was. We went to dinner with my parents then enjoyed the concert! I'm not sure if Forrest enjoyed it as much as I did. Buble sings a lot of slow love songs. Here are some pics from the night and a video clip of him singing Home.

Fiesta!

Davis turns one today! In true San Antonio fashion, we decided to throw him a FIESTA over the weekend! We had so much fun opening the house to family and friends for some great food and entertainment. The kids played in the kiddie pool, went on wagon rides, played with the swing, and really went to town with the pinata. For a Texas day in July, it was actually bearable outside, thank goodness!

Here he is just waking up from his siesta, and wondering why all these people are in his house?!?!
The food table! Delicious tamales, guacamole, salsa, dips and more!
And the drink station...
The only family photo we got and sweet little boy just wasn't feeling it.
Wagon rides with his friend Hayden.
Time for cake. Time for a mess.
Cleaning up...
Duke wanted to help.
Kelly came all the way from Austin!!!!
Pinata time!

It's hard to believe that a year ago today we were at the hospital with so much excitement, joy, and love as we anticipated the unexpected. The day Davis entered our world, dreams we didn't even know existed came true.

Davis Loves America

For the 4th of July weekend we went to Rockport. It was super relaxing. Davis took these miraculously long 3 hour naps, twice a day! We enjoyed a ton of seafood and time by the pool.

We went to a concert...Band of Heathens, Roger Creager, James McMurtry, Charlie Robinson...and the list goes on!

We went out on the boat to watch the fireworks. We were all a bit sleepy, but Davis made it. He absolutely LOVED the fireworks. He couldn't stop clapping and squealing. It was worth it just to see his reaction.

Playing with Abbi, my aunt and uncle's dog. She's so sweet to tolerate an 11 month old!

You say this is Davis' horse?

What horse?
Oh this one right here?
Okay, I'll give it back to Davis, but I don't want to.
