2 Month Check-up

Davis had his 2 month check-up this morning. I have been dreading it all week because of his shots. They gave him four shots, two in each thigh. Poor little guy screamed his head off! I've been giving him infant Tylenol every four hours to hopefully ease the pain and keep away the fever that is sometimes a side effect of the vaccinations. The Dr says that with Davis' dark blue eyes, he's sure we will not have a brown eyed baby. The eyes could stay blue or turn green or hazel at this point. Davis is doing great and growing well. He's 12 pounds 15 ounces! We are in size 2 diapers (makes me sad every time we move up a size). Our next appointment will be his 4 month check-up. By that time I will be back at work. Time is flying by and I wish it would slow down.

Davis is still trying to figure out his morning naps. Every time he falls asleep, I lay him down in his crib, and about 30 minutes later he's wide awake, ready to play. Luckily he is a pro at his afternoon nap and will stay asleep a good two hours. Davis is also a pro when it comes to sleeping at night. He is still sleeping in the bassinet next to our bed, but sleeps soundly and will sometimes stretch his feeding from every three hours to almost 5 or 6 hours.

This boy is super playful! He loves his rain-forest mobile which has lights and sounds for a whole 20 minutes...lifesaver, thanks Aunt Kathy! Davis isn't as big a fan of tummy time, but we still work on it to help build his muscles. We've started using the Bumbo chair because Davis is holding his head up!

When I get more time, I'm taking this blog private (finally) and I'll upload some new pics of Davis in his festive Halloween onesie!
