Oh Christmas Tree!

We have been super busy lately with Christmas cards, shopping, decorating, baking, parties, work, family gatherings....as I'm sure all of you have!

Here are a couple pictures of Davis helping us decorate the Christmas tree. Duke even got in on the fun...

Let's Play Football!

A friend from England gave Davis this adorable football (soccer) outfit! He even whipped out some great moves and starting running towards me...future in soccer? Maybe so!

10 years ago we were freshman at A&M! And after a day eating my way through College Station, visiting the dorms, and walking through the Chi Omega house, I can tell you, it hasn't changed all that much. First of all, everything smells exactly the way I remember it! Our sorority pictures might now be upstairs, but the furniture and wallpaper are all the same (not exactly a good thing). And the dorms are exactly the same, especially that three flights of stairs up to our old floor. Cara, Courtney, and I enjoyed a fun day in College Station with stops at our favorite restaurants and a nice walk on campus. We also got to visit with Melissa and stay with her family, who live in Bryan. Forrest and Davis spent the weekend in Rockport with my parents, pics to come!

Christmas Photos Take Twenty

We attempted a family Christmas photo this year. Good effort was put forth with the showering and outfits, but as you can see, Davis just wasn't feeling it...and neither was Duke for that matter.

Realizing this isn't going to happen..

How big is Davis?
KISS!

Thankful to be an Aggie

To all my longhorn friends (especially my mom), I have to say, sorry, but I'm thankful this Thanksgiving to be an Aggie. WE WON!!!! Whoop! It was a little last minute, but we decided to buy tickets to the A&M and UT game. After running, eating, and napping it was a bit of a struggle to pull myself off the couch for a football game in the 40 degree cold, but it was well worth it!!!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year! It started bright and early Thanksgiving morning with the Turkey Trot. Half of us did the 5 mile run and the other half did the mile. The Turkey Trot is such a fun and relaxed race. Most people there were dressed up as turkeys or wearing their UT and A&M gear for the game!

Wagons and Elevators

Davis and I spent last weekend (this post was due a couple weeks ago) with my parents in Austin. Forrest was at the ranch with the boys, so we decided to get some quality time with Annie and Papa Tom. Davis absolutely loves being at my parents house. Some of the things he loves include: the upstairs deck (he loves to watch the dogs run around below), the elevator (we don't let him go up and down the stairs, so he's a big fan of his ride), the front gate (I think it's more about wanting out), and of course the fireplace (hot hot hot)!

Making his escape...

Fun in the wagon...
Riding the elevator...

Christmas Affair

It's that time of year again, the Austin Christmas Affair! Every year my friends and our moms get together for Girl's Night, a night of shopping, eating, drinking, and dancing. It's usually super crazy because we all rush to get there through after-work traffic, scarf some food, get in line for a drink, then make a mad dash for all the shops. If we aren't worn out by the end we grab more food and head to the dance floor, where we are sure to see some cougar entertainment! Whoever is left standing at the end meets at the Christmas tree for a group picture. Not that many made it to the end, so I'm thinking the tree picture is a must for earlier in the night next year.

Little Helper

Daddy and Davis had some fun yesterday outside, they had manly stuff to do.

Like rake the leaves!

And winterize the pipes...oh wait...no need for that. It's 80 degrees!

Rock 'n' Roll

My mom and sister ran a 1/2 marathon the other weekend and we were there to cheer them on! It's a fun race, through downtown San Antonio, with great bands providing the entertainment. It was super crowded and hard to find a good place to watch the runners. We saw my mom twice throughout the race, but missed seeing my sister.

Here comes my mom...

Quick stop to kiss Davis...

At the finish line!

We have the Turkey Trot (5 miles) coming up for Thanksgiving Day. I have a feeling these two will run with ease. I'm not so sure I'll be able to keep up!

Country Boy

This was not Davis' first trip to the Thompson Nockenut Farm, but it was his first time being a true country boy. He wore camo and his boots. He rode around in the Mule pointing at all the cows. He got dirty, real dirty, and even ate cow poop. You read that correctly. I turned my head for one second to give a family member a hug and the next thing I knew Davis had a mouth-full. AH!

Still at home, getting ready to go. Yes, that is rubbing alcohol. Not to worry, I made him put it back.
Davis loved riding around on the Mule. The most exciting thing we saw were the cows. Moo!
Puppy love. This is Lucky, Davis' new best friend at the farm. They were cuddle buddies.

Fun with Annie!

Annie and Papa Tom came to San Antonio for a work meeting Papa Tom had at the JW Marriott. It was a hot week in October and the JW has the best heated lazy river and kiddie water park! So Annie and Davis played for hours...and hours...and hours....

Dwight!

Forrest has been wanting to see Dwight Yoakam for quite some time now. When we found out he would be playing at Floore's Country Store we bought our tickets right away. I was excited to see Dwight too, but super excited because the Trisha's were the opening act!
