One Small Step for Baby, One Giant Leap for Davis

Davis is walking. Everywhere.

It started a couple weeks ago actually, right when I got home from Miami. Thank goodness Mommy didn't miss those first steps!!! Of course every time we tried to catch it on video he either 1) Got mad at us for trying to force the walk when he wasn't in the mood 2) Duke got in the way (which is why Duke is outside in this video) or 3) Knew crawling would get him where he needed to go, so he would forgo the walk. All of these attempts are on camera and worth posting, especially the one where he gets mad at us. But before posting those attempts, I want to post the real deal! He walks across rooms usually doing the Frankenstein thing with his arms straight out. Here he's playing with one of his favorite toys and I try to lure him in with a Mommy kiss!

While we are posting some major milestones, I want to share a couple things Davis does we find adorable:
1) If you sing Old McDonald has a farm Davis will sing along the "e-i-e-i-o" part.
2) The boy says "Thank You!!!" Sometimes it sounds more like "danku" but if you hand him something he replies.
3) He's a pro at the high five!
4) We didn't decide to teach Davis a ton of signs, but the ones we did work on, he's using frequently. These are milk, eat, and more. I love when he uses two at a time. The other morning I was changing his diaper right before breakfast and he was hungry, he told me through his signs, more eat!
5) He has four teeth and they are super sharp. He does okay when it comes to brushing those teeth, but it's not one of his favorite things.
6) He loves his puppy dog Duke. He'll call for him, "Doookie?"
